These pictures have been sitting in my hard disk for a full year (I haven’t uploaded these pictures on Facebook before) and I just pulled them out to edit a couple of weeks back. We were at Rodeo Drive on Christmas Day and every shop was closed. This was the first time I ever spent Christmas away from KL and I was surprised at how shops closed early on Christmas Eve and almost everything was closed on Christmas Day. Christmas in Western countries is like Chinese New Year to us heh. It was quite sad that everything was closed as we didn’t get to wander around in the shops and see the snooty salespeople (I’m guessing), and the window displays were all cleared out (especially the Harry Winston ones and the Cartier ones which I so badly wanted to see!). I didn’t see any celebrities either as they had all gone somewhere hot and sunny for winter, though I did see someone sort of famous (Melrose from America’s Next Top Model) but nobody else recognized her.
The December holiday season has arrived! It’s my favourite time of the year because everyone’s in a festive mood, there’s lots of Christmas lights and festive food, and I’m starting to count the remaining leave days that I still have for the rest of the year. :D
