The boo and I have been wanting to try Acme Bar & Coffee for a while (or ABC for short) and after reading a couple of blogs who mentioned that it was “a stone’s throw away from KLCC”, we headed to KLCC with the sole purpose of having brunch at ABC and ended up having a slightly disappointing meal. Turns out Troika is more than a stone’s throw and more like a few boulder’s throw away so we decided to just go straight to Troika instead of dilly-dallying in KLCC.

Food was great at Acme, and I had a good time taking my 35mm f/2 lens out for a field test. We especially loved the Coddled Eggs for the unique combination of snails wrapped in duck bacon with organic eggs and cooked spinach. The cake (lemon poppy seed) was good too, a change from the usual heavy and sweet offerings. Too bad it’s so far away from our usual hangouts or I’m sure we would be visiting it very frequently.

This weekend will be quieter than usual and our plans to go out-of-town will be unfulfilled on account of how my mum is having her surgery. On the flipside, I suppose I will be glad for this long weekend (yay to national holidays) just to catch up on my sleep and any errands I need to run. Watch this space for the continuation of the boo’s 2010 Eurotrip.
