Paris Part 2 | The Lourve Museum

October 18, 2013

My first encounter of the Louvre Museum was in the popular book: “The Da Vinci Code” which featured an adrenaline-packed search through the museum for clues within the famous paintings of Da Vinci. Through the words of the book, things such as the Glass Pyramid designed by I.M Pei, Da Vinci’s paintings (The Last Supper, Madonna on the Rocks) fascinated me. I loved the book for years and completely wore it out. I should aso mention I am a huge history nerd. Any period of history has the power to captivate my attention and leave me lost in the bowels of Wikipedia (and looking through the Book Depository for further reading materials to purchase) and as a former art student, I hold art and artists in high regard.

The Louvre Museum is one of the most iconic museums in the world and it deserves the title for its impressive architecture (it is housed in Palais du Louvre or Louvre Palace) and horde of priceless paintings and sculptures by famous artists.

The world famous Mona Lisa, who holds a secret in her eyes and is a subject of a lot of theories.
